|Description:||Perform a variety of food preparation duties other than cooking, such as preparing cold foods and shellfish, slicing meat, and brewing coffee or tea.|
|Duties:||•Prepare a variety of foods, such as meats, vegetables, desserts, according to customer’s orders or supervisors instructions, following approved procedures.
•Wash, peel, and cut various foods, such as fruits and vegetables, to prepare for cooking or serving.
•Mix ingredients for green salads, molded fruit salads, vegetable salads, and pasta salads.
•Cleans and stocks toast and fountain area.
•Rotates supplies to ensure containers.
•Receive and store food supplies, equipment, and utensils in refrigerators, cupboards, and other storage areas.
•Assist cook and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed, and provide cooks with needed items.
•Complies with all health Department regulations and ensures that all cleaning schedules are maintained.
•Represents the Bicycle Casino well in all contacts. Works as team member and maintains cultural sensitivity at all times.
•Must be available to work any shift including weekends and holidays and overtime when necessary.
•Other job-related duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Qualified individuals must be able to regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear; frequently required to taste or smell; occasionally require to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; regularly lift and/or move up to 25lbs and/or up to 50lbs and occasionally up to 100lbs. Noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with numerous distractions.
|Qualifications:||Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education. Experience in high volume restaurant preferred.
**Must have Active California Food Handlers Certificate.
** Must be 21 years of age.|
